   RAY WILLIAMS
MRS. DOROTHY COLLINGTON
A Homegoing Celebration for Dorothy Collington who went home to be with the Lord on Satur- day, April 13, 2019, will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 10 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., with Dr. Otis Hankton of Akron, OH, of- ficiating.
Dorothy Mae Hankton, also known as “Baby Sister,” was born in Birmingham, AL. She was the only girl and the 4th child born to the late Mr. Charlie Hankton and Ms. Cornelia Oliver. She attended school in Jefferson County, AL.
In the 1950s Dorothy moved to Hendersonville, NC where she lived for over 50 years until she moved to Valrico, FL in 2009. Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and friends.
While living in North Carolina she was an active member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church as an usher and a member of the Gospel Choir. She was well- known in the Carolinas as a lead singer of the Gospel Notes. Upon relocating to Florida she joined the fellowship of First Baptist Church of Progress Village in Tampa and was active in Sunday morning Bible Study class.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Wilbert, Nathaniel and Clarence; daugh- ters, Crystal Dean, Willie Joyce and Odessa; son, Willie Steve; spe- cial granddaughter, Carolyn; ex- husband, Willie Brown and her husband, William Collington.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: her daugh- ter, Sally Ann Hawkins (Leslie); son, Jeffrey Brown (Chris); step- children, Kent, Jeffrey, Roland, Donna and Debbie; grandchildren, Gerald Mitter (Juhne), Veronica Carter (Daryl), Ivan Scott (Pamela), Regina Clark (Hiram), Dounell Griffin (Tasha), Dorothy Tiera, Cathy, Shronda, Tawana and Sabrina; great-grands, Condil- isa (Clement), Omar (Robin), Ger- ald, Malcom, Duane, Rayne, Maya, Christopher, Alicia, Odesstyni, Isa- iah, Hiram, Jr., Maya, Micah, Chasmin, Christia, Noel, Sundea, Jalyn, MarQuette (Indika), Se- quoia, Dorian (Kharron), Armani, Chante’, Andrea and Jordan; great-great grandchildren, Chance, Tristian, Elisha, Ge’mya, Dai’lynn, D’laysia, De’laney, Carmelo, Dorian, Naji, Avion, Jacob, Gerald, Jr., Aiyana, Cam- ren, Jeremiah, Ronin, Ayden, and Elijah; and a host of other great- great grandchildren not listed; special nieces, Dean, Cornelia, Lois, Ruthie and Hilda; nephew, Otis (Trevette) and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held (prior to service) Saturday, April 20 at 9 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village.

MR. ANTONIO DOWDELL
Mr. Antonio DeWayne Dowdell of Tampa passed away, Saturday, April 6, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Satur- day, April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Antonio Pringley, officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Antonio D. Dowdell also known as “Tony”, was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, born to Lashun Dowdell and Stanley Jackson. He was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Brewster Technical College. Mr. Dowdell was em- ployed at Salem Gyro’s as a Cashier. Antonio grew up in Central Park Village and he en- joyed dancing, joking, and hang- ing out with his family and friends. He was a very humble person and he would help any- one if he could. Antonio will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Arie Williams; grandfather, George Williams; aunts, Magnolia Dowdell, Eliza- beth Dowdell and friends, Gary Watson and Dontae Lampkins.

MR. HERMAN GREEN, SR.
Mr. Herman Green, Sr. of Tampa passed away, Thursday, March 21, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Quantai Washington, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Herman Green, Sr., was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa Florida. He was educated and a graduate of the Public Schools of Hillsborough County. Herman worked at Ralph Philly Station since the age of 17, in the station lounge and construction work.
Mr. Herman was preceded in death by: his mother: Catherine Council; father, Aaron Council; wife, Magnolia Smith-Green; daughters, Theresa Mae Green, Marchel Green-Wall and Patricia Green; grandsons, Van’Shawn Green and Donnell Smith, Jr.; great granddaughter, Da’Vianna Jones; and cousins, Jesse B. MR. GLEN MATHEWS
Mr. Glen Mathews of Tampa passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019. A Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue with Pastor Don- ald Lott, officiating. Interment will follow.
Mr. Glen Mathews was a na- tive of Montgomery, Alabama and a long time resident of Tampa, FL. He was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School and attended HCC.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Juanita Math- ews; father, George Mathews; and brother, Dale Mathews.
