Birdman Declares Allegiance To Lil Wayne On
BIRDMAN
Until his recent sit-down with
Angie Martinez, Birdman
was almost radio silent regard- ing Lil Wayne’s disgruntle- ment with him and his Cash Money business practices. After awkwardly opening up to the famed radio personality–con- stantly dubbing Weezy as “his son”–it seems like Birdman is looking to make amends. In an Instagram post on Saturday (Aug. 15), Baby posted up next to a photo of Wayne. “4Life LFLS YMCMB,” he wrote.”
During his interview with
Angie Martinez, Birdman
downplayed the beef between he and Wayne, accusing the media of painting it as worse than it was. Claiming that he encounters Wayne daily and even sits in to listen to his new music, the Cash Money boss also vehemently denied taking part in the drink-throwing and tour bus shooting that has since occurred during their dispute.
“The media makes it worse than what it really is,” he said. “Me and my son don’t scream at each other. I’m a man. He re- spects me as his pops and I re- spect him as my son. There ain’t never come a day where he’s going to talk to me in a dis- respectful manner. We didn’t come from that cloth.”
Monica And Family Visits Walt Disney World Resort
Monica and her children.
It cost $29 million to make and Straight Outta Compton brought in almost double that in its opening weekend, gross- ing $56.1 million and topping the North American box office.
The R-rated biopic about the groundbreaking hip-hop group N.W.A. performed above industry expectations, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and is the best open- ing ever for director F. Gary
Gray. Straight Outta Comp- ton, which is produced by N.W.A. founding members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre.
Guy Ritchie's big screen version of iconic sixties TV show The Man From U.N.C.L.E debuted in third place with just $13.5 million behind Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation that held on to the second spot in its third week of release, pulling in an- other $17 million.

Def Jam Biopic May Be In The Works
Krush Groove movie cast.
Streamed 25 Million Times
Worldwide In First Week
When Dr. Dre released his last album, 1999’s 2001, most consumers still bought CDs. In 2015, music streaming has be- come a more popular way for fans to listen to new projects, and Dre’s Compton became the first major test for Apple’s new streaming service Apple Music.
According to the New York Times, Compton was streamed 25 million times worldwide in its first week of release. The Apple Music exclusive was re- portedly streamed 11 million times in the United States.
Apple Music launched in June. The service had the dis-

advantage of coming into a very competitive marketplace after other established stream- ing platforms like Spotify, Pandora, and Rdio have been available for years....
This movie is called “Krush Groove” and it was supposedly the story of early Def Jam, made in 1985! In the movie, Russell Walker has signed all of the hottest acts to his Krush Groove record label, in- cluding Run-D.M.C., Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde (Alonzo Brown), and Kur- tis Blow. Rick Rubin pro- duces their records. When Run-D.M.C. has a hit record and Russell doesn’t have the money to press records, he borrows money from a street hustler. At the same time, Russell and his brother Run are both competing for the
heart of R&B singer-percus- sionist Sheila E. Also appear- ing in the film are LL Cool J, the Beastie Boys, New Edi- tion, the Fat Boys and some of their songs, as well as others from the likes of Chaka Khan, Debbie Harry, and the Gap Band. Members of the R&B group Full Force also make a cameo in the film as bodyguards.
Anyway, that was a long, long time ago – 30 years! The word on the street is that a re- vised, more truthful look at Def Jam Records as a move- ment.

Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans with furious and deadly force this month ten years ago - and no celebrity is more attuned to the anniver- sary than Brad Pitt. Since then, Pitt has tirelessly worked to rebuild homes for the area's homeless residents, building 109 'futuristic' homes.
Pitt, has been working to rebuild destroyed houses in the hard-hit Lower Ninth Ward since the monster hurri- cane left its path of destruc- tion.
'We went into it incredibly naïve,' the megastar told the New Orleans Times-Picayune, 'just thinking we can build homes - how hard is that?'
A lot harder than he thought, it turns out. But that didn't stop him, nor the area's residents, from plugging along, and now Pitt is thrilled that 109 colorful, sturdy,

ecofriendly homes dot the land that following Katrina was nothing but mud and de- bris and torn-apart lives.
As a part-time NOLA resi- dent and amateur architecture enthusiast, Pitt wanted his foundation, Make It Right, to build homes that not only suited the residents' needs, but were well-designed, environ- mentally-friendly, and not only cheap to make, but to live in.
