A concert crowd had an un- fortunate ending to Nicki Minaj’s performance in Cali- fornia earlier this weekend. TMZ released a video showing the fans being pepper sprayed during the Nicki’s perform- ance. Although several people were frantic about the spraying, things eventually cooled down.
Queen Latifah Signs On To Star In Biopic About Master P

Cp3 Filmworks is working on the upcoming biopic movie King Of The South.
Actress, talk show host and rapper, Queen Latifah lands a major role to play the mother of the young Percy Miller aka Master P rags to riches story. The film is based on Master P’s overcoming poverty and finding a way out the ghetto for his family through his music.
Flavor Unit executive Shakim Compere says, “This is a great role for Queen Latifah. Mas- ter P has an amazing story and has broke a lot of barriers in hip-hop, paving the way for artists to make real money and run their own businesses in the music industry. We have so much respect for what he’s done in the game, we want to help make sure that his story is told authentically with A-list talent.” The King of The South is the lat- est theatrical endeavor for Lat- ifah who most recently starred in Lifetime’s Steel Magnolia‘s reboot. Her Flavor Unit also struck in overall deal with BET and Centric to revive VH1’s scripted series Single Ladies.
Morgan Freeman’s Step-Granddaughter Stabbed To Death By Rapper Boyfriend

E’Dena Hines, the 33- year-old step-granddaughter of actor, Morgan Freeman was reportedly stabbed to death in Manhattan early Sun- day morning.
The rapper boyfriend of Hines has been charged with second-degree murder after she was fatally stabbed on a Manhattan sidewalk in an ap- parent cocaine-fueled exor- cism.
Police said on Monday that Lamar Davenport, 30, is accused of killing E'Dena Hines, 33, who was found with multiple stab wounds to the chest near her New York home in Washington Heights early on Sunday morning.
Davenport was in a rela-
tionship with Miss Hines, who was found in front of her apartment building on West 162nd Street and was pro- nounced dead at Harlem Hos- pital, officers added.
Hines was the granddaugh- ter of Freeman’s first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, whom he divorced in 1979. He brought Hines with him to the Golden Globe Awards in 2005, which started rumors that the two were dating, but he denied those rumors.
In her personal ife, Hines was a former student of New York University’s Graduate Acting Program. She also taught under-privileged youth in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.
The Wiz Live! is wrapping up its casting announcements, and Common and Ne- Yo will join Hairspray star Elijah Kelley as part of the ensemble, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Common, who recently won an Oscar for his song that is featured in Selma, will play the Bouncer, the gatekeeper to Emerald City and the neme- sis of Dorothy and her fellow
travelers.

crow, originally played by Michael Jackson in the film version, and a character who, even though he doesn't think he has a brain, proves to be pretty smart.
Ne-Yo, although he isn't rusty when it comes to his singing skills, will play the Tin Man,whoisinneedofa heart.
Marvel Has New Super Shero
Marvel is giving black comic book fans something to look forward to with a reimagining of a short-lived 1978 comic.
Devil Dinosaur was a comic about a red Tyran- nosaurus Rex and his cave- man-like friend, Moon-Boy. But in Marvel’s new comic, Devil Dinosaur will be joined by a little girl named Lunella Lafayette aka Moon Girl. According to Entertain- ment Weekly, Lunella isn’t your average girl, but a “female Inspector Gadget” who actually knows a lot more than Inspec- tor Gadget due to her “unpre- dictable alien DNA.”

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill may be busy preparing for the end of their The Pinkprint Tour this week, but that does- n’t mean the rap couple can’t take some time off to enjoy some private time together.
Minaj took to Instagram on August 15 to reveal to followers that she and boyfriend Meek rented out an entire movie the- ater to themselves so that they can watch Straight Outta Compton in private.
“When u & bae rent out the entire theatre to watch #StraightOuttaCompton with the team,” Minaj wrote along- side a photo of herself and Mill.
The movie, which is based on the lives of the members of N.W.A., was released to the public on Friday and has since shot straight to the top of the box office.
