BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
In less than a week, law en- forcement investigated two deaths where the bodies were found in parks. Last month, the Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office arrested an 18-year- old man and charged him with murder. Last week, the Tampa Police Department charged the same man with the second murder.
In both instances, the sus- pect was acquainted with the victims.
According to the charging af- fidavit, Keith Lamayne Gaillard, of Tampa was charged with the first-degree murder of Tyrone Sean Davis, 46, of San Antonio, Florida on Friday.
When police arrived at the park on July 26th, they discov- ered the murdered, nude body, of a man on the ground at Temple Crest Park, 8116 N. 37th Street. The man only had on one flip flop when discov- ered.
His car, a 2001 Chevrolet Impala was missing, but was located abandoned in the 4000 block of E. Louisiana, later that day, and impounded.
The victim, Tyrone Sean Davis’ was identified through his fingerprints. Police also de- termined that in addition to his identification being miss- ing, so was his cell phone.
Police said the cause of death was a gunshot to the back of the head.
According to authorities, Davis left Cody’s Roadhouse in Wesley Chapel shortly after midnight on the day he was killed. Police obtained his cell phone records and determined that Davis had received a call from Gaillard at 4:05 a.m., the morning he was killed. The call lasted only 13 seconds, po- lice said.
A Florida Department of Law Enforcement analyst de- termined that a pair of Gucci shorts belonging to Davis contained a mixture of blood belonging to both Davis and

Gaillard. They also have wit- ness statements and video proving that Gaillard had possession of Davis’ vehicle throughout the day on July 26th.
Gaillard is alleged to have told one witness that he was “catching bodies” and that he had allegedly killed the person who owned the car at Temple Crest Park, police said.
Witnesses told police that Gaillard was observed with the gun with duct tape on the handles. After the homicide on July 26th, Gaillard allegedly sold the gun for $50.00.
Gaillard was originally ar- rested on July 29th, by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office after his photograph was discovered on Facebook posing with a handgun. A war- rant was issued for him for being a convicted felon in pos- session of a firearm.
Gaillard surrendered and was later charged with the first-degree murder of Samuel “India” Clarke, 25, whose body was found in a North Tampa Park on July 21st. Gaillard was also charged with possession of a firearm by a violent career criminal in that crime.
Officials said at the time of his arrest that Gaillard and Clarke allegedly knew each other. Clarke, a transgender woman, was well-known and well-liked.
He is currently being held without bond at the Hillsbor- ough County Jail.
FREEMANE J. BROWN .....as seen in a fake military uniform with military ribbons
and other insignias.
On Friday, August 7th at 9:30 a.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reported that a concerned citizen called their office and reported that a man wearing a military uniform was aggressively soliciting money for veterans at the Wawa Store, 804 East Bearss Avenue.
When deputies arrived, they saw Freemane Brown, 54, on the east side of the store wearing a United States Navy uniform with a rank of Com- mander and 21 ribbons to in- clude the Navy Cross and Silver Star, along with the Navy Seal Trident and Jump Wings.
Deputies saw many items on the uniform were not in com- pliance to standard military regulations and made contact with the manager of the Wawa Store who said she gave Brown permission two days earlier to stand outside the store since she believed he was a veteran.
During questioning, Brown reportedly made statements he was a former member of Naval Seal Team Six and traveled all over the world. After more questioning, Brown admitted he was never a Navy officer and never served as a Navy Seal.
Deputies learned Brown purchased all of his military in- signias, including the uniform at a local Army/Navy Surplus Store. Deputies also noted Brown had a name tag on the uniform, but his name was cov- ered with a small piece of black tape.
Brown surrendered all of the military insignias and on August 12th, he was arrested at his home and charged with un- lawful use of military insignias.
Early Thursday, a Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s deputy was shot in the leg in a neigh- borhood where residents re- ported that the sound of gunshots has become frequent.
The shooting occurred in the Thonotosassa area in a neigh- borhood of duplexes at 12:30 a. m. and initiated a big manhunt.
Deputy Scott Ranney, 42, and two other deputies had re- sponded to a report of gun- shots being fired in the 9400 block of Greystone Road.
As deputies began searching the area on foot, they saw a man in the street armed with a handgun. He reportedly turned on the deputies and fired sev- eral shots. One of the bullets hit Ranney in the leg, and the deputies returned fire. It’s un- known if the suspect was hit.
It was reported that the gun- man fled by running between some homes in the area.
No description was released on the suspect, but it was re- ported that he was a Black male.
