ARLINGTON, TX --- Over 1,000 people gathered in a Ar- lington Texas church Saturday to lay 19-year-old Christian Taylor to rest.
The unarmed college foot- ball player was killed by a rookie cop whose since been fired, was remembered by for-
mer teammates, family and friends and dubbed a “modest kid who had a promising fu- ture.”
He was shot by a North Texas police officer answering a burglary call at a car dealer- ship.
He was a rising sophomore
at Angelo State University in San Angelo in West Texas. The crowd gave Taylor’s team- mates a standing ovation dur- ing the funeral.
Arlington Mayor Williams and Police Chief William Johnson also were at the service.

Missing Transgender Woman Found Dead In Crude Grave
JOHNSTON, NC -- The body of Elisha Walker, a 20-year-old transgender woman who had been miss- ing for almost a year, was found in a “crude grave” in Johnston County, North Carolina. According to advo- cates and local media, the discovery was made more than 100 miles from Walker’s home in Salis- bury, North Carolina.
A Latin Kings gang mem- ber, Angel Dejesus Arias, 23, was arrested and charged with killing Walker and stealing her car, reports said on Thursday. He was being held without bond.
