  Tampa Murder Suspect Drowns In Missouri While On The Run

  A Tampa fugitive wanted on two first-degree murder charges drowned Sunday af- ternoon in a river in southern Missouri while on the run from police, officials said.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 22- year-old Sherron Mc- Combs was swimming with friends at a float camp on the Current River when he began to panic, went under the water and didn’t resurface.
McCombs was pro- nounced dead at the scene by the Ripley County coroner.
The highway patrol con- firmed McCombs was a fugi- tive.
According to CrimeStop- pers, he was wanted in Tampa for his involvement in two fatal shootings in Tampa on Nov. 21, 2021, and Jan. 3, 2022. He was facing charges of:
2 counts of first-degree murder, premeditated; 1 count of first-degree murder firearm, premeditated; 3 counts of first-degree murder firearm & tampering with physical evidence.
On Sunday, a 19-year-old man was seriously injured after being shot. The shooting took place in the 2000 block of 17th Street, South.
According to police, the unidentified man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No other informa- tion was available on his con- dition at this time.
A suspect is not in cus- tody. This is an active investi- gation.

Police arrested an 18- year-old woman early Mon- day and charged her with attempted second-degree murder. She is accused of in- tentionally striking a bicycle rider with a vehicle.
The unidentified woman was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk in the 4300 block of Emerson Avenue, South shortly after 8:30 a.m., Mon- day, when Ms. Breasia Marie Niblack, of St. Pe- tersburg, intentionally struck the victim with a vehicle.
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
