Police have arrested a 44- year-old man and charged him with robbery and sexual battery. He was arrested at his North Tampa residence Wednesday.
According to the Tampa Police, around 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, a man entered the Zen Therapy Spa, 4610 N. Lois Avenue, walked up to the counter. He distracted the clerk and then jumped over the counter, and grabbed the victim.

Man Accused Of Deserting Children On Roadway

battered her and fled the busi- ness with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man was armed with some type of knife, police said.
When police arrived, the victim was able to provide a detailed description. Surveil- lance footage from the busi- ness was also used in the investigation. As a result of the forensics gathered at the scene, police were able to pos- itively identify the suspect as Bruce Darnell Wilson.
Wilson was located at his home and arrested early Wednesday morning. He is currently being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail.
He is charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of sexual battery.
Man Charged With Murder In Drive-By Shooting

The Clearwater Police De- partment has arrested a 40- year-old man. He is facing several charges in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting.
Charles Groucho Allen, Jr., was taken into custody last Friday. He is currently being held at the Pinellas County Jail without bond. He is charged with first-degree murder, first- degree murder of an unborn child.
Allen was also charged with several drug charges including possession of powder cocaine, sale or delivery of powder co- caine, and violation of probation on drug charges.
When they reached the 1500 block of Scranton Avenue, someone fired several shots into their vehicle, striking Mrs. Rosado in the head. She died as a result of her injuries. Mrs. Rosado was pregnant at the time of her death.
No one else riding in the ve- hicle was hit by the gunfire.
Allen is accused of using a high-powered rifle to fire rounds into the vehicle.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Plant City man and charged him with abandoning three children he was supposed to be babysitting.
According to police, James Mack Williams, 54, was ar- rested on Christmas night at Turkey Creek Road and Ethan Way.
Police said Williams was driving with the three children in the vehicle. He became in- volved in a traffic accident shortly after 8 p.m.
He is accused of abandon- ing the children and the vehicle after the accident. When law enforcement arrived, they re- portedly discovered the chil- dren about 100 yards from the vehicle on the dark, busy road- way.
Officials said the children appeared to be distraught and in a state of panic. Williams was located about a mile away from the accident.
The children identified

was temporarily caring for them.
He was taken into custody and charged with three counts of unlawful desertion of a child.
Williams is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail. His bond was set at $15,000.
The accident was investi- gated by the Florida Highway Patrol. No additional informa- tion pertaining to it was avail- able.
 Trafficking In Firearms Charge Gets Man 10 Years
 Last week, a federal judge sentenced a Tampa man to serve time in federal prison. He pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon on August 10, 2017.
According to court docu- ments, Judge James D. Whittemore sentenced Michael O. Johnson, 28, of Tampa, to 10 years in prison.
Johnson admitted to selling six firearms to under- cover agents over a period of several months. The weapons included a Russian model SKS 7.62x39 caliber rifle with an extended magazine.
Driver Faces DUI In Crash That Left 3 Children Hurt

Court records show that Johnson sold the guns to the agents even after they told him the guns would be resold illegally in other parts of the United States, including New York City.
A 63-year-old Naples man has been arrested after 3 chil- dren were injured in an acci- dent. The accident took place in the southbound lanes on In- terstate 75.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, shortly before 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jesus Sandoval and his 3 children were riding in a 2004 Ford Ex- plorer. A white Ford F-150 pickup truck was also traveling southbound on the Interstate.
As the vehicle approached State Road 674 in Hillsbor- ough County, the pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of the Ford Explorer.
The Explorer overturned in the center median and two of the passengers were ejected. Jesus Sandoval, 35, of Ruskin, was transported to Tampa General Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup did not stop and continued southbound on Interstate 75.
Several hours later, around 10 p.m., police located the pickup truck abandoned on In- terstate 75.
The investigation led them to Billy Noel Catherwood, of Naples. He was arrested and transported to the Manatee County Jail, where he was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
Police said his alcohol breath analysis was at 0.15 when checked.

of Palm Harbor, was riding in
the front passenger seat of a Nis-
san Sentra. Her husband, 10-
year-old child, and another ley Sandoval, were both individual were riding in the ve-
hicle.
Sahirys Sandoval, 8, and her 6-year-old sister, Ash-
