Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club Helps Fire Victims

On December 11th, a fire devastated an apartment com- plex and displaced several families. The fire destroyed or damaged 8 units.
After the news of the fire circulated within the commu- nity, Donald “D Roc” Williams and Antonio “Kuntre Boi” Bryant, learned of the fire. Bryant and Williams, both members of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcy-
cle Club, Mother Chapter of Tampa, took it upon them- selves to offer assistance to the fire victims.
Once they spoke with Mar- cus “Stealth” Wilson, it be- came a group effort to help the victims.
Wilson said, “This is part of our club’s mission state- ment, to help those less fortu- nate and encourage education and a productive future for our youth.”

cycle club roared into the Brookshire Apartments, W. 1920 Sligh Avenue, bearing gift cards. They presented the gift cards to four families who had lost everything and were dis- placed by the fire.
Tampa Fire Rescue re- sponded to 9-1-1 calls about the fire at approximately 3:30 p.m. When firemen arrived, the building was engulfed in flames. Firemen were able to get the fire under control by
4:10 p.m.
Further investigation at-
tributed the cause of the fire to a malfunction in an air condi- tioning unit. The building suf- fered approximately $400,000 in damages, officials said.
