Julia Jackson Appointed As Member Of Encore Board
BY GWEN HAYES Sentinel Editor
With all of the recent con- cerns with Encore (the for- mer properties that once held Central Park Village), the Housing Authority of the City of Tampa is working diligently to get projects in the development completed.
One of the things that has been done to propel that project is establishing an En- core Community Develop- ment District of Supervisors. The members on the board will oversee the continuing construction and developing of the 3 buildings. Two of the buildings have been com- pleted (The Ella and the Reed). The Trios was sched- uled for completion this past spring, but with the number of problems Tampa Housing has been having with con- tractors, it seems as though it may be spring 2018 before the project is completed.
Last week (August 3rd) by unanimous vote, Ms. Julia Jackson was named to the Encore Community Develop- ment District Board. The En- core Board Chair is Dr. Hazel Harvey.

idents only. She will be sworn in at the September meeting.
Ms. Jackson, an Encore resident, is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman Univer- sity with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communi- cation.
