MRS. MERRIEL ROSE WILSON MAGWOOD
Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Merriel Rose Wilson Magwood “Melrose” of Tampa, who passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, will be held Saturday, Janu- ary23rd,at10a.m.atNew Hope M. B. Church, 3003 E. Ellicott St., Rev. T. R. Cover- son, officiating, with Rev. Dr. Bernard LaFayette, eulogist. The interment will be in Gar- den of Memories.
Merriel was born in Tampa, to the late Everett and Rosa Lee Wilson. She was educated at St. Peter Claver Catholic School, Blake Senior High School and Gibbs Junior College, St. Pe- tersburg, FL.
She was employed with Tampa General Hospital and General Telephone Com- pany, where she retired from after 30 years of service.
She was a devoted mem- ber of New Hope M. B. Church. She was baptized at an early age under the lead- ership of Rev. John Willis, where she remained a faith- ful member until her demise. Merriel served in many min- istries: Youth Department, Music Ministry, Senior Mis- sion, Food Bank, a Delegate for Congress, and Grief Min- istry.
In her leisure she enjoyed crocheting blankets, watch- ing westerns, traveling, read- ing, cooking for others, and watching her granddaughter dance.
Whenever someone needed to talk, she was a great listener. She was a mom to many and her doors were always open. Her grandchildren were very dear to her heart and would put a smile on her face at any time, especially during her illness.
Merriel was preceded in death by: her parents; and brother-in-law, Lorenzo Scriven.
She is survived by: son, Chad Wilson (Roslyn); daughter, DeShone Glenn; grandchildren Xaykevia Stri- bling, Kendrick Wilson and Helen Angel Hannah (Ty- wonne); siblings, brother, Eddie Wilson Robinson (In- grid), Punta Gorda, FL, Johnny Wilson, Roseland Scriven, and Jose Arnold, Tampa; godchildren, Johnny Buster and Carla Williams; godsisters, Melissia Melvin, Nichelle Sanders and Saman- thia Paris; many devoted cousins; a longtime friend, Linda Brown; the New Hope M. B. Church family; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held at New Hope M. B. Church from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive guest from 6-7 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

Homegoing celebration for Ms. Lisa Marie Pressley of Tampa, who passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016, will be held on Saturday, January 23rd, at 11 a. m. at 29th Street Church of Christ, 3310 N. 29th St., Tampa, Brother Perry Johnson, offi- ciating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lisa was born January 18, 1966 in Tampa, to the late Daniel Pressley, Sr. and Ethel Lee Henderson. She was educated in Hillsbor- ough County Schools and graduated from Robinson High School.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Ethel Pressley.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: her fiancé, Rickie Harris; 4 daughters, Marquishia Jenkins (Mar- cus), Geaira Moore, Jer- keema Moore (Phillip), and Kelis Jones; 2 sons, Rayshunn Pressley and Daniel Johnson; 8 grandchil- dren, Rayani, Renariya, Tevario, Jr., Promise, Trajia, Milajah, Phillip, Jr. and Daniel, Jr.; 3 sisters, Debo- rah Dixon (John), Linda Carter (Johnny), and Latoya Pressley (Rodney); 3 broth- ers, Dana Pressley (Brid- gette), Marty Pressley (Lolette), and Ronald Chris- tian (Quana); 2 aunts, Bessie Lawrence and Edna Wade (Rastus); 4 nieces, Tonya, Teaira (Osmond), Zana and Attaliah; 9 nephews, Damien, Danzick, Dana, Chris, Aaron, Terrance, Daniel, Temonta (Kara), and Torrance (Tan); a host of great nieces and nephews; childhood friends, Marla (Marvin), and Vanetta Scott; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was born in Tampa, to Arthur G. Thompson, Sr. and Carolyn Bailey. Renee was a member of St. John Progres- sive M. B. Church.
She was preceded in death by: her grandfather, Ulysses Bailey, Sr.; and uncle, Ulysses Bailey, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: her hus- band, Jimmy Patton; she helped raise her husband’s children and a host of grand- children; parents, Arthur G. Thompson, Sr. and Carolyn Bailey; grandmother, Earmy Love-Bailey; brothers, Arthur Thompson, III, Staff Sgt. Anthony J. Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Lou Ethel Sealy Wil- son of Tampa, who passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, will be held on Sat- urday, January 23rd, at 2 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Bishop Jerome Alexander, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Have Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Lou was born in Crystal River, FL. She moved to Tampa, where she met the love of her life, Johnny Wil- son. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend.
She opened her home on the motto of, if you needed a place to lay your head her doors were always open and you were invited to eat a home cooked meal. She had a heart that was pure as gold. She was a devoted member of Evening Star and Galilee M. B. Church, where she par- ticipated in different choir groups. She formed her own group called the Silver Letts.
Lou was preceded in death by: her father, Johnny Gen- try; and brothers, Frank Simms and Freddie Penning- ton.
Lou leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her mother, Martha Taylor; de- voted husband, Johnny Wil- son; loving children, Pervis Sealy, Sr. (Sheila), Ronnie Williams (Sherron), Paulette Washington (Britten), Jihad Amos Muhammad (Renee), Sherman Williams, Alisha Well (Matthew), Cheryl Dukes, James Pool, Steve Jackson, Iesha Davenport and Sandra Tillsdale; a host of grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Barton Johnson (Wallace), Yvonne Reed, Rosa Garvin (Jimmy), Betty Sharpe and Carrie Dukes; brothers, Morris Dukes, Cleve Simms (Debbie), Her- man Jones and Ernest Allen; father-in-law, Oscar Knight; sisters-in-law, Mary Rollins (Johnny), Vickie Davis (Henry), and Flora B. A celebration of life for Mr. Timmie Lee Mutcherson, who transitioned on January 10, 2016, at a local hospital, will be held Saturday, Janu- ary23,2016,at1p.m.at Hood Temple A. M. E. Zion Church, 3608 N. 26th Street, Tampa, 33605, Pastor Bessie L. Mohead, officiating.
Timmie was born January 3, 1958, in Tampa, to the late Mr. Jordan and Mary Mutch- erson. He was educated in Hillsborough County Schools, and worked various jobs around the Tampa Bay area.
Timmie was preceded in death by: his father and mother, Jordan and Mary Mutcherson; step-daughter, Jacqueline Turner; sister-in- law, Patricia Mutcherson; grandmother, Flossie Mutch- erson; and brother-in-law, Gerald Wilson.
He transitioned his life over to answer God’s calling on January 10, 2016.
He leaves to cherished his memories: wife, Candance Mutcherson; daughter, Michelle Harris; step-daugh- ter, Jamica Turner; 3 sisters, Angela, Yolanda and Sophia; 5 brothers, Jordan, Sedrick, Terry, Jerome and Barry; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins; and a devoted friend, Curtis Stewart.
Visitation will be on Fri- day, January 22, 2016 at Jackson Funeral Home, 4605 N. 34th Street, Tampa, 33610, from 6-8 p. m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 12:45 p. m. at the church (3608 N. 26th Street, Tampa, 33605) for the service.
