MRS. MARY JANE ANDREWS FINLAYSON
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Mary Jane Andrews Fin- layson, who passed on April 2, 2022, will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at New Bethel Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2914 E North Bay St Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Reginal T. Webb, officiating. In- terment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
A native of Tampa, Mary Jane was a retired nurse employed at the County Hospital and Tampa General Hospital for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of New Bethel Progressive Mis- sionary Baptist Church, serving as Chair of the Hospitality Commit- tee, singing in the number 1 choir and working with the youth choir. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars Lodge #228.
She was preceded in death by: her loving husband of 64 years, James Finlayson, Jr.; parents, Mark and Jannie Andrews; 2 daughters, Mary Finlayson Hitch- man and Stella Finlayson, 4 broth- ers, and 4 sisters.
She leaves to cherish memo- ries of her with: 1 daughter, On- dria R Finlayson; 1 brother, Arthur “Gene” Andrews; 2 grand- sons, David McCalister (Valerie) and Samuel Childs, III; 3 grand- daughters, Calvinia Scott, English Maxwell (Sean), and Soraya Lloyd (Craig); 1 god daughter, Jacque- line Pitman; 1 sister-in-law, Emma Jean Andrews and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

MR. ROOSEVELT PLEAS, JR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Roosevelt Lee Pleas, Jr., will be held on Saturday April 16, 2022, at 12 noon at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Shanell Keefer, Officiating/Eulo- gist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Roosevelt Lee Pleas, Jr., was born on January 5, 1966, in Fort Myers to the parentage of Charlie Mae Thomas and Roo- sevelt Pleas, Sr. Roosevelt was a Tampa resident for over thirty years and attended the local schools in Hillsborough County.
He loved his children and his family, and he was always a provider. When you asked Roo- sevelt where he was headed most likely he would answer to the money. He worked for over 25 years in the construction field and loved using his skills and knowl- edge.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie Mae Thomas and Roosevelt Pleas, Sr.; sister, Bonnie Pleas.

MS. JANINE MCDOWELL WRIGHT
Ms. Janine McDowell Wright’s Homegoing Service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, 2101 Bell Shoals Road, Brandon, Florida, with a local Pastor offici- ating. Entombment will follow at Serenity Meadows Cemetery, Riverview, Florida.
Janine Kay (nee’ McDowell) was born on January 4, 1967, in Mounds, IL, to Millard and Clyde McDowell. She departed this life on March 31, 2022, in New Castle, Delaware.
Janine spent her formative years in Florida and graduated from Brandon High School in 1985. She was a National Merit Scholar and went on to attend the University of Florida after earning a full scholarship.
Janine met Jonathan Wright while attending the University of Florida. They married in 1995, and from this union, had two children. Janine was fully immersed in and committed to her children’s edu- cation and upbringing. They were homeschooled from an early age and Janine encouraged their love of reading and writing. Once they segued to public schools, Janine was very active in their class- rooms, clubs and frequently served as a classroom volunteer and field trip chaperon.
Janine will be remembered for her intellect, strong personality, loving and giving spirit, her outgo- ing personality and phenomenal cooking. She was a passionate chef, an excellent baker, and avid
scrap booker. When she was not filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her room putting together scrap- books and cataloging her family’s adventures.
Her skills included profes- sional level cake decorating and Janine always challenged herself to make vivid and fantastic cre- ations, which were well-loved by her family and co-workers.
Whenever Janine brought in food, you could be certain that the dish would always leave empty. In her later years, despite her de- bilitating illness, she never com- plained, but instead found ways to encourage others. She was a woman of strong Faith.
Janine had a strong personal relationship with Christ and ac- cepted the Lord at an early age. She was an active member of the Bell Shoals Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the choir, and was active in Vacation Bible School and many women’s ministries and outreach programming.
She was preceded in death by: her stepfather, Jerry McClellan (formerly of Valrico) and brother, Stephon McDowell (formerly of Brandon).
Janine is survived by: her two children, Bre’Ana “Briar” Wright and Brittany “Basil” Wright, both of Tallahassee; her mother, Mil- lard McClellan of Valrico; her sis- ter, Joyce McDowell of Boston; her brother, Paul McDowell of Newark; her ex-husband and longtime friend, Jonathan Wright, of Ft. Lauderdale and a host of nieces, nephews, first and second cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Brain Injury Association of American in Janine K. Wright’s name.www.biausa.org/support/gi fts-in-memory. May her memory be a blessing to everyone she touched and all who knew her.

Dr. Calvin Williams, Officiating and Rev. Isaac Ruffin, Eulogist. There will be a viewing on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Wilson Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 2 p.m.
On the morning of April 3, 2022, the Lord called His child, George W. Latimore, home. He was the 10th of 23 children born to the late William Herbert Latimore, Al- berta Plummer Latimore, and Johnnie Mae Latimore (step- mother) on April 26, 1946, in Dublin, Georgia.
He attended Dublin public schools and graduated in 1965 from Oconee High School.
George retired after 30 years from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, where he sang with the Male Chorus and led many memorable solos.
He enjoyed watching cowboy movies, working with his hands, building with wood and, refurbish- ing his 1969 Chevrolet pickup truck.
George was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Sheri La- timore; son, Amo Green; brothers, Ulysses “Se Bo” Latimore, William Latimore and Zebedee Latimore; sisters, Evelyn Moore, Betty Howard, Sarah Danelly, Leola Scott and Mary Harrington.
He leaves to cherish loving memories with: his devoted wife, Mary Latimore; children, George, Jr., (Tajvana), Andre Green (Dawn), Marcus Green (Enick), La- mont Green and Medina Kingsley; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grand- children; brothers, William “Bo” Lattimore, Jr., Benson Latimore, John Latimore, Leartis Latimore, Johnny Latimore and Robert Lati- more all of Decatur, GA.; sisters, Gloria Pittman of Augusta, GA, Claudia Mae Jordan, Rosa Pryor (Ernest), Sharon Latimore, Wilma Wilbure and Leslie Taylor all of Dublin, GA.; a host of nieces, nephews; brother-in-law, Braxton Moore, of Decatur, GA; a host of devoted friends; adopted children including the Foreman family, the Tippett family and the Hooks fam- ily.
