Bucs Release Collins; Re-Signs Wright
Foles-Bradford Swap Complete
Left tackle Anthony Collins' tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a brief one.
On Tuesday, the Bucca- neers released the eighth- year veteran on the same day that the NFL's free agency pe- riod began.
Collins originally signed with Tampa Bay almost ex- actly a year ago, one day into the 2014 free agency period. He started the season at left tackle but missed time due to injury in November and was eventually supplanted in the lineup by Demar Dotson, who moved over from right tackle.
The Buccaneers also did a little roster work earlier in the afternoon to prepare for the 4:00 p.m. kickoff to free agency. Those moves in- cluded:
• Re-signed S Major Wright, a pending unre- stricted free agent, to a two- year deal.
• Extended a qualifying offer to RB Bobby Rainey to ensure his status as a re-

Buccaneers Sign LB Bruce Carter
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers' defensive facelift con- tinues.
The Bucs announced Wednesday that they have signed outside linebacker Bruce Carter. Carter inked a deal worth $20.5 mil- lion over four years.
Carter comes to the Bucs after spending his first four seasons with the Cowboys, who selected him in the sec- ond round of the 2011 NFL Draft. The versatile Carter
came on strong in his final season in Big D, finishing with 68 tackles, one sack and a team-best five intercep- tions.
Bucs Release Michael Johnson
A year after signing defen- sive end Michael Johnson to a five-year, $43.8 million contract, the Tampa Bay Buc- caneers have released him.
Johnson, who previously played for Cincinnati, was supposed to bolster Tampa Bay's pass rush. But that did- n't happen. Johnson recorded just four sacks while playing through several in- juries.
Johnson still will collect $7 million in guaranteed money this year, but the move frees up $2 million in cap space.
The Bucs already have their eye on a potential re- placement. Tennessee's Der- rick Morgan is scheduled to arrive in Tampa on Wednes- day night for a visit. Morgan played outside linebacker in Tennessee's 3-4 defense but projects as a defensive end in Tampa Bay's 4-3 defense.
Gore Expected To Sign With Colts
FRANK GORE
Frank Gore has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Tuesday.
The deal is expected to be similar to the three-year, $12 million offer that the former 49ers running back received Sunday from the Eagles.
Gore's contract with Indi- anapolis also includes $8.5 million in guaranteed money, the source said.
The Colts also will host free-agent receiver Andre Johnson, who was released Monday by the Houston Tex- ans, on Tuesday night.
Gore's deal with Indi- anapolis marks the end of an eventful week for the 31-year- old running back, who in- tended to sign with Philadelphia over the weekend before reportedly reversing his decision Monday.
The reversal left the Eagles in search of a running back after already agreeing to trade LeSean McCoy to the Buf- falo Bills.
The St. Louis Rams and Philadelphia Eagles have swapped starting quarter- backs on Tuesday, the first day of the NFL's new league year.
Nick Foles, who emerged as the Eagles' starter in 2013, goes to the Rams in exchange for Sam Brad- ford, the No. 1 overall pick in

Revis Returning To Jets
DARRELLE REVIS
most accomplished defensive player -- a vital cog in their Super Bowl championship.
Many figured Revis had found a permanent home in New England and wouldn't want to change teams for the third straight season.
Free-agent wide receiver Torrey Smith has reached agreement on a five-year con- tract with the San Francisco 49ers.
The deal is worth $40 mil- lion, including $22 million guaranteed, sources said.
Smith, who has played his entire four-year career with the Baltimore Ravens, follows WR Anquan Boldin to San Francisco. Baltimore traded Boldin to the 49ers be- fore the 2013 season.

Darrelle Revis are together again with what a source said Tuesday is a five-year, $70 million deal.
The Jets pulled off one of the biggest moves of the still- young offseason, stealing the All-Pro corner away from the New England Patriots, his agents announced.
The blockbuster deal came five hours after Revis became a free agent. The Patriots de- clined to exercise a $20 mil- lion option for 2015.
It was a stunning blow to the Patriots, who lost their
The Texans have released Andre Johnson, ending the star wide receiver's 12-year tenure in Houston.
The Texans previously had given Johnson permis- sion to seek a trade, while the seven-time Pro Bowler asked the team to release him.
Johnson had two years remaining on his contract and would have counted for $16.1 million against the Tex- ans' salary cap in 2015.

Jets Release WR Percy Harvin; Marshall's Deal Is Complete
Four days after acquiring wide receiver Brandon Marshall in a now-official trade, the New York Jets made the expected follow-up move Tuesday, releasing re- ceiver Percy Harvin.
The Jets waited until Marshall passed his physi- cal before parting ways with Harvin, whose ouster was announced simultaneously with confirmation of the trade.
There was a late detail on the trade. In addition to Marshall, the Jets also re- ceived a seventh-round pick from the Chicago Bears. They sent a fifth-rounder to the Bears, as previously reported.
Percy Harvin has been re- leased by the Jets and now will be looking for his fourth team in four years.
Harvin, 26, once re- garded as a rising star in the NFL, will be looking for his fourth team in four years. He played only eight games in two years.
