On May 29th, police re- sponded to the intersection of E. North Bay Street and N. 34th Street in reference to a shooting.
When they arrived at the location, they discovered that two men had been injured by gunfire.
After the shooting, both men were transported to a local hospital, where they were admitted in critical con- dition. One of the victims was 21-years-old and the other was 23-years-old.

Detectives are searching for a vehicle witnesses ob- served fleeing from the scene immediately after the shoot- ing.
Three teens are being sought by the Hillsborough County Sheriff after walking into a Dollar General store and trying to burn it down.

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, shortly after 8:00 p.m., Lake- land Police Officers were dis- patched to the 900 block of West 6th Street. Officers lo- cated a 46-year-old male vic- tim inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds.
Detectives responded to the scene and began process- ing evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.
“At this time, detectives are attempting to locate 32- year-old Quinton Owens as they believe he may have in- formation related to the case. Owens is described at 6’1′′ and weighs approximately 250 pounds,” said Lakeland Police Department in a state- ment.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify the suspects who fired multiple shots at an occupied residence.
On Monday, June 13, 2022, at 11:30 a.m., multiple unidentified suspects fired nu- merous rounds from an AR-15 style rifle into an occupied apartment at Willow Brooke
Apartments, on Hellenic Drive. There are no known in- juries to any victims, accord- ing to deputies.
One of the suspects was captured on a Ring camera armed with a rifle walking through the breezeway, and an unidentified black female walking with the male was also captured on video.
