The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting at Westfield Bran- don Mall.
Quran Deandre John- son, 19, was arrested while driving a stolen vehicle. He faces charges of attempted 2nd degree murder, aggra- vated battery with a deadly weapon, and simple battery.
According to police, At 4:13 p.m. on June 10, 2022, HCSO received a call about shots fired. Once on scene, deputies learned that two males were arguing near the Club Vape kiosk. The two took the argument outside where one of the men shot the other.
The victim is currently at Tampa General Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The shooter fled from the mall.
Out of an abundance of caution, deputies responded to the scene and the mall was

placed on a lockdown. It was lifted after a brief time.

said, “Violence is never the answer, it is a senseless act that not only puts the in- volved parties in danger but also the lives of others, espe- cially in a very public place like a mall.”
Detectives believe the sus- pect and victim are known to each other.
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is investigating a shoot- ing that took place Wednesday morning. The shooting took place near the intersection of 11th Street and E. Seward Street.
According to police, the 16-year-old victim was trans- ported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police were notified of the shooting shortly before 9:30 a.m. No additional informa- tion was available at press time.
Police are currently searching for a vehicle in connection with a shooting.
Tampa police are cur- rently searching for a suspect in connection with a shooti- ing at a local park. The shooting took place at the Borrell Park, 808 East 26th Ave., Tuesday.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the unidentified victim was in the park when he was shot shortly after 9:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they discov-
ered a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The suspect fled south- bound on foot in the park and then proceeded to jump into a four door light colored sedan, which fled south on Nebraska Ave.
The victim was trans- ported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening in- juries. The investigation is ongoing.
