BACKGROUND: Dr. Dennie is a native of Chicago, IL, and has always had a love for learning and teaching. He re-
ceived his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Behavioral from George Williams College, his Master’s Degree in Theological studies from Northern Baptist Seminary and his Doctoral De- gree from McCormick Presby- terian Seminary. Over the past 17 years, Dr. Dennie has taught in the School District of Hillsborough County. He has taught Reading or Language Arts in 4 different Middle Magnet Schools, and is cur- rently teaching Reading at Roland Park K-8 Magnet IB World School. It should be noted that Dr. Dennie passed the state FELE exam back in 2006 to become a School Ad- ministrator, but chose to re- main in the classroom to teach and mentor students. Dr. Kevin Dennie is an outstand- ing teacher and mentor.
