Teaching to me is a joy; interacting with the students, whether it be challenging or not, allows me to make an impact in their lives. As Maya Angelou so ef- fortlessly stated, ‘I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.’
“Being an educator allows me to give back in more ways than just being a classroom teacher, I am a mentor and a support to the fellow col- leagues and students I interact with on a daily basis.”
