Man Needing Kidney Transplant Setting Up Fundraisers
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Samuel Causey, Jr. is 40-years-old, and in dire need of a kidney transplant.
Causey said he was diag- nosed with diabetes when he was 18, and since then he’s also suffered other medical problems.
After a doctor’s visit 5 years ago, Causey said his doctors told him he had in- stage renal failure, and would need a kidney. He’s been on dialysis for the past two years.
“The doctors have told me I’d go on the transplant list as soon as I can show them I can pay for the surgery. The

only way I can do that is to raise funds for the procedure. “I’ve decided to set up a
couple of car washes to raise funds. Starting Saturday and Sunday, May 21st and 22nd, I’ll be at the Advanced Auto Store on Dr. MLK, Jr. Boule- vard and Nebraska Avenue. The following weekend, I’ll be at the same business on Busch Boulevard and 26th Street.”
Causey said he appreci- ates any help he can get from the community, and he can be contacted at (813) 458- 7184, or on email at Samuel.causey@yahoo.com.
