AIKENS
MR. LEON GATLIN, JR.
A Homegoing Service for Mr. Leon Gatlin, Jr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, will be held on Saturday, July 2nd , 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Aikens Fu- neral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Leon was born January 10, 1977, in Sumter, South Carolina to Leon and Cornelia Gatlin. Leon enjoyed many activities in- cluding fishing, football (his fa- vorite team, Pittsburgh Steelers) cooking, boxing, coaching, and a love of seafood.
He was preceded in death by: grandparents, Hattie Mae and Sinclair; aunt, Leslie; and uncle, George Gatlin.
He leaves to cherish his memories: children, Leon, Quin- lan, Azaria, Sarai, Kudaa, Imani and Damarcus Gatlin, and Jere- maya Chappell; parents, Leon Gatlin, Cornelia Gatlin Lynn, and stepfather, Walter Lynn, Sr.; wife, Melinda; brother, An- tonio Sinclair Gatlin; wife, step- brother, Walter Lynn, Jr.; stepsister, Ashley Lynn; aunts, Cassandra House, Abra Cham- bers, Priscilla Terrell, and Brenda Gatlin; uncles, Melvin Gatlin and Darryl House; cousins, Rychard, Dennis, Jr., Shameka, Erica (Eric), Natasha, Tara, Keke, Tesera, Machello and Natasha Gatlin, and a host of many other cousins; special friends and loved ones, Reva, Mario Gee, and Meeka Brooks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the services. We are following CDC guidelines.
MRS. LeVITA JENRETTE
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. LeVita Maria Jenrette, who passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 2:00 p.m., at Greater Mt. Carmel AME Church, 4209 N 34th St, Tampa, FL 33610, Rev. Bryant Fayson, officiating. The in- terment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
LeVita was born on March 11, 1965 in Tampa, Florida to Levi and Angerline Jackson. “Ms. Vita” de- voted over 42 years in the commu- nity as a mentor, coach, mother, and grandmother. She was an in- spiration to our youth, known as the “take no nonsense”, “point your toes”, and “cheer from your diaphragm” to her girls.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Levi and Angerline Jackson, and former husband, Michael Jenrette, Sr.
She leaves precious memories with: children, Angelena Jackson and Joshua, Michael Jr., LeRia, and MyeKayla Jenrette; grand- children, My’Chyria and Jere- miah; brother, Vincent Jackson, Sr.; sisters, YeVette Governor (Vincent), Sheila Jackson-Thomas (Wayne), Monica Jackson, Lisa McCray, and Crystal Jackson; aunts, Gwendolyn Border, Mau- reen K. MR. WILLIE SINGLETERRY, JR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Willie “Sugarfoot” Sin- gleterry, Jr., of Tampa, FL., who passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, will be held on Saturday, July 2nd , 10:00 a.m., at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave Tampa, Florida 33610, Rev. Antonio Hawkins, officiating.
Willie was born in Americus, GA, on September 22, 1935. He was the oldest of 11 siblings. He spent most of his life as a resident of Tampa, FL, enjoying fishing, car repairing, driving semi-trucks, CB radio talking, and casino cruises. Willie attended the schools of Hillsborough County. As a young man, Willie worked for the Hills- borough County Sherriff’s Depart- ment. He later went on to become a big rig truck driver. As an expe- rienced truck driver, he could quickly map and give directions within the southeastern states. During his time as a driver, he dis- covered CB radio talking, it was his passion. He was locally known as “Sugarfoot 619”.
Willie was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie and Fannie Lou Singleterry, and daughter, Wanda.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory with: his lifelong companion, Everaleen Hough; children, Cathara, Cynthia, Linda, Ronald, Valerie, Carol, Carla, Irvin, Ven- darei, Sonia, Teresa, Latasha, Ruhtelia, Keishaun, Steve, Vicky, Diane, Marvin, and Don; in addi- tion to a host of siblings, grand- children, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Rose Marie Pew of Tampa, FL., who passed away on Wednes- day, June 15, 2022, will be held on Saturday, July 2nd, 11:00 a.m., at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 4406 E. Chelsea St., Bishop Adrian M. Shaw, Jr., officiating.
Rose was born on April 4, 1953 in Miami, Florida to W.C and Daisy Pew. Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Daisy Pew; sisters, Annie Pearl Newborn and Gloria Stokes; and her son, Frederick McDuffie.

Ada was born on March 14, 1951, in Albany, Georgia, to Joseph and Elouise Teel. Ada was the light of her family. Her fa- vorite activities were dancing, cooking, and sitting in her garage listening to her oldies’ music.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, Henry Hall, Sr.; brother, Johnny Teel; sisters, Beulah and Gloria Teel; daughters, Carolyn Baldwin, Linda Hankerson, and Marlene Hall; sons, Henry, Jr., James Till- man, and Anthony Hall; and niece, Jennifer Charles.
