ROBERT LEE PERKINS
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home, 1068 Main Street, Chipley, Florida, with David White, officiating.
Mr. Perkins was born January 4, 1933, in Georgia. He later relo- cated to Tampa, Florida.
Robert Perkins was a loving fa- ther, grandfather and friend to many. He attended schools in Hillsborough County and was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Robert Lee Perkins transi- tioned on June 18, 2022.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Veola Brown and Mr. Perkins; son, Fernandez Perkins; and an aunt, Ruth Dempsey.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ories with: loving daughters, Yvonne Boone of Tampa, Florida, Monique Perkins of Tampa, Florida, and Lorette Perkins; grandchildren, Eltoneisha Grigley, Elton Grigley Jr., Iyanna Stall- worth, Clarence Stallworth Jr. and other sorrowing family, friends and loved ones.

MR. DERRICK JOHNSON
Mr. Derrick “Disco” Antonio Johnson passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church,Rev. Alan Harris, pastor, 1006 West Cypress Street, Tampa, FL 33606, with Evangelist Rick Johnson, officiat- ing and Pastor Coller Williams, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. MASK RECOM- MENDED.
Derrick was born May 26, 1979, in Tampa, FL, to his mother, Dorothy Lovette. He was educated in the public school system of Hillsborough County. Derrick was a devoted, loving father with an unwavering determination to pro- vide the best for his children to ensure their happiness and well- being. Respected in the commu- nity, “Disco,” as he was affectionately called, was a well- known Disc Jockey with a passion for music and entertainment. His musical passion was lifelong, and his gifted talent was admired by many. His loved ones described him as an optimistic man with an infectious spirit who often filled rooms with melodic rhythms, joy, and happiness, as only such talent of his caliber could achieve. His jovial yet honest demeanor was enough to bring joy and happiness to any room he entered. Derrick lived his life by the phrase “Live, Laugh, Love.” The phrase became a mantra of sorts in his daily life, as described by his partner in life and love (Janelle). Derrick was devoted to living a life of positivity and joy, consistently encouraging, reaffirming, and challenging those around him to live their best lives. Loved personally and pro- fessionally – evidenced by the out-
pouring of love and cherished memories shared by so many. Der- rick did, in fact, “Live, Laugh, Love” he lived a life he was deter- mined to enjoy. He shared and provided laughs often and ex- pressed his love through unwaver- ing acts of loyalty. Derrick leaves a legacy of harmonies and dedicated “soundtracks to life” for his family and loved ones to enjoy and cher- ish on future milestones and mo- mentous occasions.
Derrick was preceded in death by: his loving grandmother, Doris Barbara Thomas; and his elder aunt, Helen Starling (Rudolph).

MRS. CHARLES KILPATRICK
Mrs. Charles Evelyn (Baby Sis- ter) Kilpatrick passed away Thurs- day, June 23, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 North Willow Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607 with Reverend Dr. Rayford Harper, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home and Me- morial Gardens.
Baby Sister was born in Talla- hassee (Capitola), FL on July 29, 1936. She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Florida A&M University both in Tallahas- see, FL. She was a long time mem- ber of First Baptist Church of West Tampa. She retired from General Telephone and Electronics (now Verizon Communications) as a Cus- tomer Representative. Those left to cherish her memory in- clude: her husband of 63 years, Eugene (Kill) Franklin Kilpatrick, Sr; five sons, Bernard (Cheryl) Footman of Chattanooga, TN, Eu- gene Franklin Kilpatrick, Jr., Ray- mond Kilpatrick, Shannon (Sharon) Kilpatrick, and Morris (Vanetta) Kilpatrick, all of Tampa, FL; sisters, T. Lorraine (Precious) Barnes, of Tallahassee, FL., and Thelma Iretta Green of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Jerrod Leigert- wood, Alonzo Kilpatrick, Eugene (Max) Kilpatrick III, Staff Ser- geant Nicholas Kilpatrick, Craig Kilpatrick, Lauren Kilpatrick, Christian Footman, Aijalon Kil- patrick, Jadon Kilpatrick, Jada Kilpatrick, Marvin Johnson, Shar- ronte’ Sams, LaTia Deravil and Gwyn Deravil; special caregiver, Mirian Villalon for being there until her sunset; and a host of nephews, nieces, great grandchil- dren, neighbors, and friends.

MR. ALLISON LEWIS, SR.
Mr. Allison L. Lewis Sr. passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church of Port Tampa, 7221 S. Sherrill Street, Tampa FL 33616 with Elder C. Reaves, offi- ciating. Interment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mr. Lewis was born on July 25, 1938, and reared in Port Tampa FL. He graduated from Middleton High School “Class of 1956” and played baseball with the Original Port Tampa Red Caps. He was then drafted into the Army and became a para- trooper with the 82nd Airborne out of Fort Bragg, N.C. While still in the military, he married Betty in December of 1962. He joined St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in 1946. After returning home, he adopted the name of, “Port Tampa Mayor of our com- munity”. He became a part of everyone’s business, always ready to help anyone with any problem. If he did not know the answer, he wouldn’t stop until it was solved. He truly believed he was an “Offi- cial” when everyone called him “Mayor”. He joined the “Old Timers Club”, with a group of fel- lows his age, which he enjoyed. He was employed by Gulf Oil Company for 29 years, then worked with a newspaper, Vertis Printing Company and returned back to driving with the Florida Rock Oil Company and later re- tired.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Roy Lewis and Eliza- beth Roberts; daughters, Carla D. Lewis, and Karla Ellis; sister, Bernie Jean Willoughby; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ories: a devoted and loving wife of 59 and a half years, Betty Lewis; son, Allison L. Lewis, Jr. (Ariel); grandchildren, Shayla Fong Sam (Garry), Shanice Cox, Alnesha Lewis, Alison Lewis, Tremaine Ellis, Kylar Ellis, Allan Lewis, Amari Fields, Ja’Keyla Ross, and Alvaski Lewis; great grands, Johnny Harrold III, Cristian Har- rold, and Dante Fong Sam; broth- ers, Lester Lewis (Pauline) and George Lewis (April); god daugh- ters, Tenetia and Zenobia; and a host of loving cousins, friends and church family.
