MRS. JESSIE MAE TOLBERT SMITH
Mrs. Jessie Mae Tolbert Smith of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, April 9, at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 4025 W. Pal- metto St., Rev. Anthony Greene, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Sylvester, Georgia, and at- tended the public schools of Worth County. She was a resi- dent of Tampa for 60 years. Mrs. Smith retired from Valen- cia Gardens Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Charlie Tolbert and Lucy Gano; stepmother, Rebecca Tolbert; husband, Willie Floyd Smith; brothers, Deacon Arthur Tolbert, Sr., Marcellus Tolbert and Freddie Tolbert; sisters, Bobbie Rigsby, Lonnie Russell, Dorothy Stafford, Roberta Brown and Molly Morgan; devoted com- panion, Andrew Reynolds; sis- ter-in-law, Marise Tolbert; and stepson, Rictor Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her stepdaughter, Sh- eryl Gallons; grandchildren, DaTonya Creary, Taurence Creary, Takeasha Nance and Keyonn Nance; 15 great grands and 8 great great grands; broth- ers, Charlie James Tolbert of Tampa, Charlie C. Tolbert of Moultrie, GA; sisters-in-law, Martha Tolbert and Sharon Tolbert; brothers-in-law, Rufus Rigsby and Leamon Morgan, Sr.; nieces, caregiver - Deborah Caldwell (Donald), Devita Tol- bert-Coachman (Gregory), Earnestine Riley (Joe), Jackie Jackson (Wayne), Ann Milton, Cydrina Tolbert, Johnnie Mae Coleman, Jackie Tolbert and Khaliah Tolbert; nephews, Earl Morgan (Ida), Raymond Mor- gan, William Morgan (Stephanie), Charles Rigsby, Arthur Tolbert, Jr., Lorenzo Tolbert (Mildred), Alton Walker (Margaret), James "Marcellus" Tolbert and Demetrious Tolbert; cousins, Elizabeth Thompson, Arenthia Alford, Hazel Hampton, Her- man Tolbert, Florida Walker, Juanita McPherson, Linda Montgomery and Leola Jack- son; extended family, Rosa Lee Moore and family, the Reynolds family, the Tolbert family of Ft. Pierce, FL, and New Jersey, the Coleman fam- ily, the Walnut Street neigh- bors, and the Rag Shop; and other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m., Friday, April 8 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p. m.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the Church on Satur- day morning at 10:45 a. m.

Funeral service for Ms. Myr- tle Lee “Mammy” Smith Pow- ell, who departed this life on March 31, 2016 to be with her Heavenly Father, will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2 p.m.atNewBethelA.M.E. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry Smith and Ruth Brook Smith; sisters, Ernestine Stokes, Lottie Ruth Boykins, Alberta Gilbert, Helen Walker and Fifi Glymph; brothers, Benny Smith, Hydrise Smith and Lawrence Smith; nieces, Sharon Smith, Angela Boykins and Beverly Williams; and nephew, Henry Boykins.

Mrs. Myrtle Lee Smith Pow- ell, known to many as “Mammy,” was born in Tampa, to the parentage of Henry Smith and Ruth Brook Smith on July 11, 1934.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa.

MS. EVA BLAISE
A service remembering and celebrating the life of Ms. Eva Blaise, who passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Bishop Serge Rejouis, officiating. In- terment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Eva leaves to cherish pre- cious memories of her with: her son, Alex Thenor; her daughters, Valencia Blaise Palmer, Revana Thenor and Swidish Blaise; her grandchil- dren, Jarrell Davon Thenor, Natalie Thenor, Solomon Isa- iah Palmer and Solace Blaise Palmer; great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
Eva Blaise was born in Cap- Haitien, Haiti on October 5, 1953 and was raised by the parentage of her mother, Merencia Thenor. She mi- grated to the United States in the late 70s in search of better life for her children.
She pursued a degree in Cosmetology, and proudly graduated from Lindsey Hop- kins Technical School in Miami, FL. What started as a way to pay the bills became a lifelong passion. With this pas- sion, she helped to plant and developed salons, all over Florida. She helped up-and- coming stylists perfect their trade, taught them the ins-and- outs of cosmetology, and as- sisted them with establishing and becoming owners of their salons. She used her passion for hair to bring the Haitian community together.
As an active member of Spir- itual Family Church of God, she served proudly, until she went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa. Friends are asked to assemble at the chapel on Saturday at approximately 1:45 p. m. for the service.

MS. DESTINY A. PLATT
Funeral service for Ms. Des- tiny A. Platt, who on March 28, 2016, the Lord called home to be with Him, will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 at 1 p. m.. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Mother Myrits Fowler, officiat- ing, and Pastor Willie L. Fowler, eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: her grandfather, Willie Platt, Jr.; and mother, An- toinette Platt.
Destiny leaves to cherish loving memories of her with: her son, Eric Henderson, IV; father, Derek Platt; her grand- mother, Rose Platt; 2 brothers, Javon Bussey and Warren Bussey; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; her partner, Eric Hen- derson, III; and other sorrow- ing relatives and friends.
Destiny was the youngest child born to Derek Platt and Antoinette Platt in Bronx, NY on September 5, 1993.
Destiny attended Hillsbor- ough Community College, where she studied Nursing. Shortly after, she held quite a few food services jobs. She later met her partner Eric Hen- derson, III and they had one child together.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 12-1 p. m. (1 hour prior to the serv- ice).

MR. EARL DEAN WRIGHT
Mr. Earl Dean Wright passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016, after a lengthy ill- ness.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9 at 4 p. m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
