NFL Suspends Tampa Bay Bucs Mike Evans For One Game
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide re- ceiver Mike Evans has been sus- pended without pay for one game for his role in Sunday's altercation with New Orleans Saints corner- back Marshon Lattimore, the NFL announced Monday.
Evans was suspended for vio- lating unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct rules, the league said. Evans will not be eligible to return until after Sun- day's home opener against the Green Bay Packers.
Evans is allowed to appeal the suspension under the NFL's col- lective bargaining agreement. If he does appeal, the hearing will be before either Derrick Brooks or James Thrash, who have been jointly appointed by the league and the NFL Players Association to rule on appeals of on-field player discipline.
Evans plans to appeal the sus- pension, sources told ESPN. The hearing will likely take place this week.

Gay's suspension will begin
immediately. He will miss games against the Colts, Bucca- neers, Raiders and Bills and is eligible to return after the Week 6 game against Buffalo.
Gay agreed over the summer to enter a diversion program to resolve the criminal case.
Brady opened up on his Let’s Go! show on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio and spoke about football being an emotional game. He said there were many players in- volved in what led to the Latti- more-Evans altercation and Brady said he has a problem with Evans being “singled out.’ Brady referred to that as “the re- ality of the NFL.”
The Mike Evans running, dead-ball blast to Saints corner- back Marshon Lattimore dur- ing Sunday’s game earned Evans a one-game suspension.
“I love Mike,” Brady said. “And the fact that Mike would
