Covid-19: A temporary SA Employee Relief Scheme will provide a special dispensation for companies that are in distress because of COVID-19. It will enable companies to pay employees directly during this period and avoid retrenchment.

KwaZulu-Natal as an investment destination presented to international business chambers
International delegates and business representatives of the 14 bi-lateral business chambers in South Africa, and international visitors, were hosted at a business networking function by Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) in partnership with Dube TradePort Special Economic Zone (DTPSEZ) at the Capital Empire Hotel, Sandton, Johannesburg.
The audience also included the department of trade and industry, Trade and Investment South Africa, Invest SA, Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Presidential Envoys, Black Business Council, Black Management Forum and the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Neville Matjie, Chief Executive, TIKZN unpacked the comparative advantages and benefits of KwaZulu-Natal as an investment destination and provided an overview of TIKZN’s support services. Mr. Kaya Ngqaka, Chief Operations Officer, DTPSEZ and Acting Chief Executive Richards Bay IDZ outlined the investment opportunities at Dube Tradeport Special Economic Zone.
Nordic Companies get to grips with doing business in KwaZulu-Natal
Visiting companies from the Nordic region of Europe and Nordic companies established in South Africa attended a KwaZulu- Natal focused seminar, hosted in Gauteng by Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal.
The event, supported by the embassies from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Lithuania, is a key event targeting company
representatives responsible for strategic planning and decision making in order to generate business leads.
The seminar comprised a roundtable discussion ending with networking and business to business meetings at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton, Johannesburg. Presentations were made by Ms. Donnee Kruger, TIKZN Manager: Gauteng Office; Ms. Annelize Van De Merwe Director: Green Economy Industries, InvestSA and Mr. Tony Nkuna Senior Project Development Manager: Industrial Infrastructure, IDC.

Inclusive Growth: Making it happen through Trade & Investment in KZN was the topic of a business seminar at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and hosted by Trade & Investment KwaZulu- Natal in partnership with Access African Channel and the JSE.
