KEY SELLING POINTS
A series of historical novels following different characters as they navigate the upheavals of the wars of the
Three Kingdoms (England, Scotland & Ireland).
Debates around religion, social equity, political structures, and the beginnings of the scientific revolution
provide a brilliant backdrop to this story.
Action and adventure but primarily a character driven series of books.
Early in the Seventeenth Century, in one of the most remarkable periods of British history, Marleigh Hume
battles for her life and sanity as she tries to complete her life’s work – nothing less than understanding the
working of life itself. Sir William Brereton, prominent Puritan, and rising star in Parliament, wrestles to find
God’s task for him in the growing struggle with the King. A victim of his uncontrolled emotions, Richard Farrell
flounders through war and relationships until he encounters both Marleigh and Sir William, becoming
embroiled in a climax of accusation, trial and redemption. Meanwhile, Richard’s childhood friend Will Fletcher,
finds his destiny tied to the social radicals of the time, earning him enemies on all sides of the political divide.
At its heart, the At the Edge of Promises series is about purpose, passion and motivation – how science,
religion, love, duty and revenge drive three people through the dramatic upheavals of the English Civil War. In
Sow the Wind, dramatic events and decisions set fateful wheels in motion, with the interwoven stories
coming to surprising and dramatic conclusions in the second book in the series, Reap the Whirlwind.
