        KEY SELLING POINTS
A fast-paced thriller with a diverse range of carefully drawn characters.
Inspired by the landscape, culture, food and the sapphires of Sri Lanka.
Primarily set in Sri Lanka, but also Oxfordshire and London.

Randul is a young Veddah tribesman who, while out in the Sri Lankan forests, chances upon four priceless raw
Padparadscha sapphires. Due to a mutual passion for foraged ingredients, Randul meets Stephen, a celebrity
chef, and unwittingly draws him into the murky world of Ziyad, a gem dealer with a dangerous past. Ziyad has
only one desire, to dispossess Randul of his find, but by do-ing so he sends his son to his death and exposes
himself to others seeking revenge and restitution of a lost fortune. Following a violent confrontation with Ziyad
        Randul must flee Sri Lanka.
Twenty years on, Randul has become a British citizen as well as a successful businessman. The ce-lebrity chef
has fallen on hard times and Ziyad is paying for his past crimes. It is Ameesha, Ziyad’s daughter, who has
ambitions of her own. Taking Randul as her lover, she seeks to take control of the Padparadscha stones. Her
single-minded pursuit leads to the betrayal of both her father and Randul, with dire consequences.
