        noticed by the piratical fortune hunter Edward Trelawney and the two embark on a tentative romance.

        destined to be? And will the women find peace and power and finally seize control of their lives?

        Jim Pinnells has worked as a consultant around the world launching, rescuing, or closing out international
        projects in many fields. As a student, Jim started at Cambridge and finished with a doctorate at Frankfurt
        University. This grounding in literature and scholarly research underpinned his five novels. He lives in Germany.

        Isabel Otto was born and raised in Germany as the second daughter of two British ex-pats and is a bilingual
        teacher and lecturer. Jane and the Jackal is her first novel.
