Paragraph:

Although the Sierra region and the Coast region are in the same country. They have

cultures and characteristics that make them very different. First, the climate in the two
regions varies greatly by its geographical location and the presence of the Andes mountain

range. [Then, in the region Sierra has a colder climate, because it is located in the lower

part of the Cordillera de los Andes. On the other hand, the Coast region has a warm
climate. This climate can become stifling, so people often go to sea.] Second, the food in

these two regions is not similar.[ Because, in the Sierra region the food is usually of native
origin, and the food comes from the countryside. In this region it is very common to eat

foods like beans, potatoes, cabbages, and meats of the field animals. Unlike the Coast
region where the food is brought from the sea. In this region it is very common to eat

typical dishes that have shellfish.] Finally, I can say that the clothes that are dressed in

these two regions are very important part of their culture, because the clothes they wear
depend on the climate and traditions depending on the regions. [For example, clothing in

the Sierra region is very warm. This is evident in the country people, where men use
ponchos, and women use chalinas. In another case, the people of the Coast region wear

very light clothes. For example, it is very common to see people with shorts, or in bikinis.]

In conclusion Ecuador is a diverse country, and full of interesting cultures, I can proudly
say that I love my beautiful country.
