 The Technique
OK. Now that you know why this technique works, let’s get down to the details, and it is not complicated. Like any neuroplastic change in our brain, it simply takes Intention, Repetition and Reward.
Tapping is most easily used for clear and identifiable triggers such as the thought of getting on an airplane, the sight of a snake or the thought of public speaking. It can, however, also be successfully used for more complex matters, and for these I would suggest working with a therapist who is an experienced Tapping practitioner. As I mentioned earlier, Tapping is also called Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT, not to be confused with EFT: Emotional Focused Therapy, a different modality.
Let’s walk through the steps using a fear of snakes as an example. When you tap on the various points in the protocol, it does not matter which side of the body you tap on. Use three
