Here are some basic guidelines we need to maintain: Your personal mantra MUST be:
• Present tense
• Affirming
• True (even if only a little bit) • Easy to memorize • Declarative, i.e. include, “I AM...”
Your personal mantra MAY be:
• Connected with positive spiritual beliefs • Labelled in your current framework, ie. As a ‘prayer’ • Incorporating your slang i.e. ‘I am a chill dude’ • A reminder of being love or receiving love*
* this element is so powerful it could be a ‘MUST’ be!
Your personal mantra MUST NOT be:
• About ‘wanting’ or any otherwise unfilled need or belief • Negative/Judgement
• Past tense
• Phrased as a hope or expectation
Here are a few examples of mantras that I or clients have used that are powerful, well-crafted, and have created change in their lives.
A friend of mine who is a medical doctor uses this mantra:
I am the gift of healing. I am a healer
I am healed
