With over 100,000 readers, the Sisters newsletter is sent to subscribers every
Tuesday and features entertaining, informative and inspirational content created
for black women by black women.
Why did AARP see the need for a Sisters from AARP newsletter?
Sisters from AARP is an online community where black women can share real talk
and advice on the issues of greatest importance and relevance to them.
This is a meaningful milestone in AARP’s continuing commitment to authentically,
intentionally engage and support diverse audiences. African American women are
thirsting for information about how to live our best lives. AARP is committed to
being that go-to resource.
AARP intentionally engages and supports a diverse, nationwide audience.
Whether you live in Biloxi, Billings or Brooklyn, our aim is to empower you to
choose how you live as you age.
Sisters sounds great. But I’m not Black. Can I subscribe?
Sisters from AARP celebrates Gen X and Boomer black women and features
content of greatest interest to them. Any one is able to subscribe, so everyone
can enjoy the Sisters newsletter. Like many of AARP offerings, we aim to offer
information as broad and as narrow as are our members interests.
We aim to engage with and serve our audience by “getting them.”
