PRIDEFEST 2019

Overview

The World Pride NYC Pridefest is honoring the 50 th year of the

Stonewall Uprising and half century of LGBTQIA progress through

“Millions of Moments of Pride.” Heritage of Pride is a nonprofit
organization that plans and produces New York City’s official

LGBTQIA+ Pride events each year to commemorate the Stonewall

Riots of 1969 — the beginning of the modern Gay Rights movement.

With more than 50 events during 30 days in June 2019, the PrideFest

street fair concludes the month-long celebration on Sunday, June 30 th

with the annual Pride March and this empowering event.

PrideFest is comprised of vendors, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and

activities in the name of equality. E.J. Johnson serves as this year’s

host, headlining a variety of performers on the main stage. This free
event expects more than 500,000 visitors to this annual experience.

The AARP booth will feature petition signatures to highlight the
importance of prescription drugs to the community to combat the

spread of HIV and offer cost-effective solutions to everyone. The

STOP RX GREED program is designed to improve conditions in
LGBTQIA communities that yield lasting positive results.
