JUNE 2020 Johanna Mottram
Class of 2023
Johanna is one of the kindest, caring, and outspoken members of our class. She’s never been one to shy away from difficult topics but has always been able to approach them with kindness and empathy. This has been exemplified amid the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Black Lives Matter movement. Johanna
has consistently been a voice for our class, advocating for accommodations and our mental health, advocating for social justice on her social media, all while providing a listening
ear to her classmates. I am forever humbled by Johanna’s compassion, her empathy, and her strength to take charge of the situation and speak her mind.
Montclair Clinic Service Award
This award is given to the lead student coordinator in recognition of their valuable service in facilitating student programs at the Montclair Medical Clinic. This program provides medical services to low-income individuals and families who
have no other resource for health coverage. Over 700 patients were served this year.
Thomas Cho
Class of 2022
As the chief student coordinator working at the Montclair Medical Clinic, Thomas effectively assisted in teaching and directing his peers to ensure that all patient visits were treated according to protocol. He was also responsible for scheduling shifts for all student volunteers from his class for the clinic, as well as for
special events such as Montclair’s Community Health Fair. Thomas received recognition from the Mayor of Montclair for his dedication and service.
