COMP Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship provides financial assistance to an osteopathic medical student interested in a career in family medicine, who has provided outstanding service to the community and University.
Alice Wang
Class of 2022
Alice says one of the greatest joys in life is in giving back by helping others. She has amassed hundreds of hours giving her time to those in need. Her volunteer work spans the country. From the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center to the National Institute of Mental Health in Maryland, Alice’s work
has impacted the lives of many communities. Here in Pomona she served as co-coordinator for “The Beautiful Experiment” teaching middle school students to use scientific methods to conduct scientific experiments. Alice is also active with the Pomona Health Career Ladders program where she mentors local students about careers in the health sciences.
Dr. T.G. Wing Chow Scholarship
Dr. Chow is a strong supporter of WesternU, and has been an East West honoree twice in recent years. This scholarship provides financial assistance to an osteopathic medical student.
Brittanie Robinson
Class of 2021
Brittanie is a scholar, athlete, and a compassionate volunteer. While at Quinnipiac University, Brittanie played Division 1 Volleyball and she, along with her teammates, engaged in community outreach events. Their audience ranged from elementary students to nursing home residents. Now at
COMP, Brittanie devotes time to “The Beautiful Experiment” where she mentors local students from Palomares Academy of Health Sciences. In this program, medical students
help Academy students with science fair projects, and experiments. Brittanie is perfect for this role as she has presented her own research at the Western Medical Research Forum held annually in Carmel, CA.
