AIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT

1.12 This assessment has been carried out to determine the potential impacts posed to future end
users, along with other key receptors, based on the current development. Should revisions in
the development proposals result in a change any assessment parameters detailed in this
report, a re-assessment of the impacts and associated mitigation measures should be carried
out.

Report Structure

1.13 Chapter 2 of the report presents background information on the pollutants and legislation that
drives air quality strategies in the UK, with the various planning policies described in Chapter

3. Chapter 4 sets out the assessment methodology applied for this specific Air Quality
Assessment at the different phases of the development including modelling scenarios and
sensitive receptors. Chapter 5 is the Air Quality Assessment following results of the modelled
pollutants including predicted concentrations. Chapter 6 relates to the proposed mitigation
measures that could be incorporated into the development proposes to off-set any impacts
that have been assessed.
