KEY MOMENTS DAME JACQUELINE WILSON, PATRON

We have grown organically over the years, adapting and improving our services as we’ve learnt
more about our families and what will have the biggest impact. Today we offer tailored practical
and emotional help to the entire family, through our unique support programme at home and in
hospital, which includes therapy services, counselling, holidays, experiences and children’s ward
refurbishments.

Here are just some of the highlights from the past 15 years:

FIRST 5 YEARS...
Charity launch and making an impact in Kingston

• Founded in May 2004 by Bianca Effemey and parents, Alison Trigg and Jacqui Coppellotti
whose children had been affected by cancer

• Support offered to all families at Kingston Hospital whose children were in treatment for
cancer or a life-challenging condition

• The first hospital refurbishment project, installing a parent’s kitchen in the Paediatric Dame Jacqueline Wilson, world-
