expelled them from the garden. God had not changed, but
His method of dealing with man changed because of what
man had done. When Adam chose to sin, Adam produced
a change in his relationship with God, and God chose to
deal with Adam differently due to the altered
circumstances. God himself never changes, but God, in his
divine power and authority, deals with man differently at
            different times.

            10. Has the Holy Spirit operated in the exact same manner
               throughout history?

No. The Holy Spirit interacts with men differently at
different points of time. Notice the difference between
King Saul and a believer today.

And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a
company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God
came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an
evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. (1Samuel
               10:10; 16:14)

The Holy Spirit came upon Saul, and it later left him.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of
truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after
that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of
               promise,

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
               sealed unto the day of redemption. (Ephesians 1:13;
               4:30)
