One should take to heart the message to “stand before Hashem,” not just
on the Day of Judgment, but all year long.

“Moshe summoned all of Yisrael and said to
them: You have seen everything that Hashem
did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to
Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his
land – the great trials that your eyes beheld,

those great signs and wonders. But Hashem did “You are standing today, all of you, before
not give you a heart to know, or eyes to see, or Hashem, your G-d: the heads of your tribes,
ears to hear until this day” your elders, and your officers – all the men
of Israel”
