The National Banking and Securities Commission is a decentralized body of the Ministry of
Finance and Public Credit, with powers to supervise and regulate the entities of the Mexican
financial system, in order for them to function properly. The CNBV protects the interests of the
public by seeking a stable and balanced system.
This entity can inspect those who carry out activities related to the financial system, as is the
case, for example, with multiple purpose financial corporations, regulated and not regulated,
which are subject to the supervision of the CNBV, in accordance with the provisions of the
