DESIGN INNOVATION EVENTS
IIT DELHI
OBJECTIVE
Aimed at design sensitization of students, the Souvenir Design Internship took the participating students through
the process of design. Through the steps of the workshop, the students ideated and conceptualized for souvenirs,
learnt to work with various materials, tools and equipment and at the end came up with their souvenir.
DURING THE INTERNSHIP STUDENTS LEARNED TO -
1. Use various materials from metal to plastics to wood
2. Understand the physical and chemical properties of various materials
3. Learnt how to make Souvenirs practically and technically correct.

4. Use various tools, equipment and got more acquainted about various Enamelling Press
processes throughindustry visits
5. Sustain projects from conception to realization
6. Appraise and evaluate their own work in progress and on completion
DESIGN PROCESS
The design process is a methodical series of steps used in creating functional products and processes. The process
is highly iterative - parts of the process often need to be repeated many times before production phase can be
entered.
Five basic steps involved in any design process are -
