DESIGN INNOVATION EVENTS Design and Development of DIY
IIT DELHI Protottyping Portal

Objective -
Aimed at Designing and Developing of a web portal on
Intership on Central Workshop, IIT Delhi. Through this project we are
targeting to create an online directory of all tools, equipment
WEB PORTAL DEVELOPEMNT and people associated with central workshop. Also, through

Central Workshop,IIT Delhi photographs and videos, we are aiming to demonstrate –
- Categories based on processes, materials and tools
- Working of various tools and equipment and their
limitations
- Safety Parameters
- Guidelines and Creative Uses of tools and Equipment.
Ultimately, the web portal will become a directory with
various information and methodologies for all tools and
equipment in Central Workshop.
During the Internship students learnt to -
1. Use various materials from metal to plastics to wood
2. Learn how to develop website for specific purpose –
photography, graphics and planning
3. Use various tools and equipment
4. Sustain projects from conception to realization
5. Appraise and evaluate their own work in progress and on
completion
