                                                        SUPERINTENDENT & CEO

“Give thanks to the Lord for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34
Over the past year, the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association celebrated its 70th birthday. That is seven decades
of students receiving an elite education in an environment where they interact with the Gospel of Jesus Christ each day.
When you add up all of the students, parents, teachers, and staff who have been involved in our ministry, more than
20,000 people have been impacted by the CLHSA and our schools. Just last month, we were blessed to open the 2019-
2020 school year with more than 825 students between our two schools - the largest student population since 1970. We
have plenty to be thankful for and have certainly seen God’s faithful love in action!

As we begin our 71st year of ministry, the mission of the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association is as vital today as
it was at our inception. The digital age has made information easier to come by than at any point in human history. Each
day in our schools, students are being prepared to critique, analyze, synthesize, and innovate using all of the information
that is so easily acquired. At the same time, students are being grounded in a Biblical worldview so that the Gospel can
become the center of their lives and the motivator of their futures.

As you read through this CLHSA Annual report, I hope you will see two things. I hope you see how thankful we are
for our CLHSA community. We are blessed beyond measure by all of the CLHSA churches who faithfully support our
schools. Hundreds of alumni and friends support our ministry through ongoing prayer and financial support. Without
all of this support, our ministry would not be what it is today. Thank you!

My second hope is that in these pages, you will see that your gifts and your prayers are having an impact on lives all across the
Cleveland area. Your faithfulness to our schools is mirrored by our faithfulness to the mission God has entrusted to us. Each
day in our classrooms and in our hallways, students are being challenged academically, supported as they grow emotionally,
and encouraged in their walk with Christ. Lives are being shaped and transformed in Cleveland Heights and Rocky River.

May God bless you, your families, and your churches just as you have richly blessed the
                                           Cleveland Lutheran High School Association.

You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity,
which will produce thanksgiving to God through us; for the rendering

of this ministry not only supplies the needs of the saints but also
overflows with many thanksgivings to God.
