On 13 January 2025, Mr. Kajonpat Maklin, Deputy Director General, The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) received the Prime Minister Awards : Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2024, Best Performance Award, presented to organizations with excellence in preventing and handling cyber threats. The award was organized by the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), aiming to uplift standards of Thailand’s cybersecurity and support the country as center of cybersecurity in ASEAN.
The Prime Minister Awards : Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2024 plays vital role in raising awareness among organizations, personnels, civil societies to ensure readiness to address cyber threat that are more likely to influence economic and social impacts. All award winners will be assessed against strict criteria in risk management, compliance to universal standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR, and human potential development.
» Development of Competency-Based Training Program and Assessment (Ongoing Project)
Objective
To equip personnel in civil aviation security and safety compliance with technical qualifications and training aligned with the Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) approach.
Summary
The Development of Competency-Based Training Program and Assessment project aligns with Strategy 1: Enhancing government compliance to achieve sustainable standards. In 2024, the project was initiated as a 6-month phase aimed at developing the competencies of key personnel, including operations management inspectors, theory instructors, operators, evaluators, and course developers.
Trainees participated in the ICAO’s Training Instructors Course (TIC) organized by the Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC). The course focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required by the ICAO Instructor Competency Framework. These capabilities enable trainees to contribute to the
