MICROCLIMATE ANALYSIS

The site covers a total area of 3,557,053 square
meters (355.71 hectares). It is bounded on all

sides by a combination of vast Agricultural lands and
residential areas. It is located in a province with

Type 1 climate, there are basically two seasons
experienced in the site: dry from November to April

and wet during the rest of the year.

ISU is, basically, still physically underdeveloped.
Though development focused on the central area of
the campus, it can still be said that the buildings are

spread out. The campus is dominated by paddies
and only the central part has trees that could provide

shade and help lower the temperature. This is still
good as most buildings are at the center, hence, a

more amiable microclimate is afforded to the users.
There are enough spaces between buildings

permitting natural lighting and ventilation. Covered
walkways and shaded student areas are also seen

          around the campus.
