RESULTS
• From November 1994 to January 2006: 16 patients
• 10 children (F:M = 8:2; age = 6-12 yrs) • 6 adults (F:M = 4:2; age = 27-52 yrs)
• Duration of mH: 2-132 mos (44.7±40.5; 25)
• 2-8 urine sediments examined/patient (total: 55)
• Family history positive for a renal disorder 11/16 (urolithiasis 1; undefined 1; isolated mH 4; GN 5)
• For all cases, the utility, limits, and risks of renal biopsy had been discussed with the patients or their parents
