• In 2012, Planning permission was granted for a single storey rear extension at lower ground level,
compromising additional bay to new Kitchen and extended dining area with roof terrace above. (ref:
PP/12/01918).
Application Proposal
This application proposes installing an additional condenser on the roof of the property. There is currently
one air cooled condenser on the roof of the building, located between the central roof light and the rear of
the property. The new condenser will be located between the central roof light and the front of the property,
mirroring the condenser to the rear of the building. The new condenser will assist the existing condenser in
circulating filtered air throughout the property, creating a more healthy and comfortable living environment
for the occupants.
Planning and Heritage Considerations
The air conditioning unit will be discreetly hidden behind a parapet roof, and will not be visible from street
level. The proposal will therefore have no adverse impact on the character of the building or the wider
Ladbroke Grove Conservation Area.
The neighbouring residential properties have been carefully considered when locating and specifying the
equipment. The noise report included in this submission outlines that the noise emitted from the new air
conditioning unit will have no significant harmful impact on the level of amenity for the adjacent properties.
Therefore, we respectfully ask that planning consent is granted. In the meantime, we look forward to
receiving confirmation that the application has been registered. Please do not hesitate to get in touch should
you have any queries.
Yours faithfully,
