Activity: Numbers on Abacus
The students were asked to make an abacus using things they have at home (best out of waste).
This activity kindled their creativity as they came up with their own abacus using different
objects like old cardboard boxes, twigs, pens, beads, bangles, paper beads, etc to represent
the number. Children learnt how to read a number and how to represent a number on the
abacus. They participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the activity.
