Social Work

The mission of the Social Work Program is to prepare competent, ethical, baccalaureate,
generalist social workers to provide services that enhance the well-being of all client groups,
with a focus on serving the poor, other at-risk populations, and African-Americans. The
mission is accomplished through the implementation of a baccalaureate, generalist program
that is comprised of liberal arts based upon which a professional foundation is built.
