AGRICULTURAL
SCIENCES
The Agricultural Sciences baccalaureate degree program was established to sustain the land-grant
mission in teaching, research and services. It serves to bridge the gap between minority and the
agricultural science-related workforce. It was established to provide technical courses and quality
education to under-represented populations so that the community will be well served. With 5
concentrations within the program including Animal Sciences, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture
Business, Plant & Soil Sciences, and Pre-Veterinary Medicine, cooperative agreements and
collaborations have been established with several governmental agencies to support teaching and
research.
