 Ennis Lions Club helps Ennis Students
Each year the Lions of the Ennis Lions Club holds two eye clinics to serve the community. The first clinic was held last month In conjunction with the EISD school nurses and put 62 pairs of glasses on students helping them achieve the maximum success for the future. This clinic included 13 dedicated Lions. Lions Kathy Cikanek, David Averitt, Bob and Betty Taylor, Debbie Lane, D’Ann Sellers, Doug Norton, Dr. Alexander Weir, Dave Lovelace, Steve Howerton, Morgan Taylor, Jenny Vidrine and Walter Beasley. Well these Lions work is not done yet. Their next clinic is coming up in March.
Irving DFW Indian Lions Club organized an opportunity on October 13th at the India Cultural and Education Center, Garland for young children 11-13 yrs. to participate in the Lions Clubs International Peace Poster Contest. The Theme for 2018-19 Contest is "Kindness Matters". Lions A.P. Haridas and Haridas Thankappan are seen directing and helping. Look for the results in November
Irving DFW Lions Club Continues to be Effective
Irving DFW Indian Lions Club created and co-sponsored another "Indian Lions Club" in Texas. The Charter Night of the Austin Indian Lions Club (2-S3) was held on Friday October 26, 2018 in Austin. Lion leaders of MD2 Texas were in attendance including (Seated L-R) VDG Larkin Smith, PDG Frank Kinald, PDG John Pruett, Club President Jose P., DG Linda Davis, PCC Mike Rourke.
