The January 20th district Midwinter Conference was a success! District Governor Henry had an interesting Midwinter Conference for District 2-X1 Lions with learning
sessions covering Recruiting Young Adults and Women, and MyLCI/QA for Presidents & Secretaries.

Registration information and costs are now available from Lions John Joy and A.P. Haridas. Clubs should also pick their 2017-2018 Grass Roots Lion. Don’t overlook this way to honor one of your newer, hard-working Lions.
The district GLT (Global Leadership Team) committee’s purpose is to identify and train Lion leaders. It would be very helpful if clubs would email me the names of current or developing Lion leaders who should be groomed for bigger responsibilities within Lions. We are always looking but often must rely on clubs and Zone Chairs to help us. (Continued page 4)
Global Membership Team
Fred Conger Global Leadership Team District Coordinator
The responsibility for growth in our membership rests on each one us; on our clubs, on our members and on our leadership. Each of us should take that responsibility seriously and personally to assure that Lionism remains a vital and functioning part of the communities in which we live; communities in which
we have, for over 100 years, established ourselves as reliable leaders in service to those
in need – where we live and around the world.
The members of your GMT are “at your service” to assist you in expanding the membership of your club, organizing a new club in your community, or “shoring up” your club’s presence in your community. Let us help you respond to the membership needs you are experiencing so your club can continue to be a vital presence in your community. Contact us.
