District 2-X1 Installs Leo Council Officers for 2018-19

Lions Clubs International District 2-X1’s 2018-19 Leo Council Officers were installed during the District’s first Cabinet Meeting on July 14, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Coppell, Texas. Leo Council Officers include: Leo Sweta Gautam, President; Leo Dylan Caviness, Vice President; Leo Isabel Mascarenhas, Secretary; Leo Vibhuti Panta, Treasurer; Leo Kritika Panta, Director; Leo Han Jeong, Director and Leo Bishweshwor Rimal, Director. District Governor Keith Murray congratulated and distributed certificates to all the Leo Council Officers and appreciated for their interest to serve. Zone Chair Terry Meza installed the Council Officers.
District Leo Chairperson Lion Prakash Gautam said that the first Leo Council Meeting of 2018-2019, which was held in the breakout session, passed the Council’s work plan for the year 2018-19
Dallas Frisco Indian Supports our Troops
On June 23rd on a Saturday between 2.30 and 4:00 pm, at the Frisco Public Library in the 4th floor McCallum room the Frisco Indian Lions Club were making care packages at their second annual Support Our Troops Event . They brought products that made up care packages to be sent to our troops in service to our country. They brought their kids along to help in sorting and packing. The kids were also put to work making and signing
thank you cards specifically to salute our troops.
The kids were amazing and so creative in making thank you cards. The packages included food items, toiletries, and money. The items were shipped out the 4th of July week as a great “Happy July 4th” and as a thank you to all of our men and women who serve to protect our freedom.
The Frisco Indian Lions send thanks to all the volunteers who supported them and to the Frisco Indians Leo Club for the turnout. They were thankful to have been able to do this a second year in a row for the troops
